Courtney has found success by living her life as a leader.  Notable achievements include her nine years of service as a Marine Corps officer, managing a top-notch sales team for Rational Software, earning her law degree at William & Mary, practicing at one of the nation’s leading law firms, and creating Lead Star (www.leadstar.us)-- a premier leadership development consulting firm that works globally with leading organizations.  She has also served as an elected official and recently completed a hiatus from her consulting work, during which she served as Chief Operating Officer of a rapidly scaling technology company.

Beyond Courtney’s government and corporate accomplishments, she is a business owner, thought leader, and New York Times best-selling author of Spark and Leading from the Front.  Her success has been recognized throughout her professional career, but most recently she was awarded the National Stevie Award for Best Female Entrepreneur and BusinessWeek profiled her achievements as a leadership expert.  A dynamic guest on CNBC, FOX News, and CNN, Courtney’s efforts with Lead Star have been noted in publications ranging from Harvard Business Review and Fast Company to The Financial Times.  

Courtney is married to Patrick Lynch, and is the proud mother of three children. She resides in Northern Virginia.

Scott currently serves as the Chief Operating Officer for Regency, a leading pet aftercare services provider in the United States.  Previously, Scott served as the Senior Vice President of Operations for Towne Park, the nation’s leading hospitality and healthcare mobility and diversified services provider, with 14,000 employees across North America.

Born and raised in southern Indiana, Scott completed his undergraduate education at Indiana University in 1996.  Scott is a United States Marine Corps veteran, where he served multiple tours of duty from 1996-2005 as an active duty Infantry and Intelligence Officer in operational assignments in the Fleet Marine Forces, Combat Development Command, and Marine Corps Intelligence Activity.  After receiving an Honorable Discharge from the Marine Corps, Scott earned his Master of Business Administration through the Montgomery GI Bill and pursued a career in Operations and General Management, serving national and international operations and sales leadership assignments for Cincinnati, Ohio-based Cintas Corporation through 2013, prior to joining Towne Park in 2014, and Regency in 2019.  A transformational, servant leader, Scott has led and served organizations achieving recognitions including Federal OSHA’s VPP Star, Regional and National Best Places to Work in both the U.S. and Canada, and Fortune’s Most Admired Companies.    

Scott has served as the President of the Elaine Nancy Buttz Memorial Scholarship Foundation for the past 21 years, and currently serves on the Board of Directors for Foundation Partners Group, a privately-held, national leading end-of-life services company.  He previously served on the Board of Directors for Special Olympics Maryland, The Foundation, a 501c3 Maryland-based charitable foundation dedicated to helping children, specifically with education, and the Main Line Chamber of Commerce in Philadelphia.  He has recently established Regency’s new charitable organization, Regency Relief, chartered to help pet families in need during the pandemic.  He is an active member of Team Red, White and Blue, and Watch D.O.G.S., which are volunteer organizations serving veterans and children.    

Scott has been married for 23 years to his wife, Jennifer, who volunteers her time, energy, and passion to serving children, veterans, and adults with intellectual disabilities with their nationally-certified service animal, Jessie, as well as leads their community’s Parent-Teacher Organization.  Jennifer was born and raised in Richmond, Indiana and also graduated from Indiana University.  They have a 12-year old son, Mason, and currently live in Edgewater, Maryland.
